Its back!
Yes, its true. This now almost mythical TJ product is finally back in stock after being MIA and off the shelf at Trader Joe’s for more than one year!
Possibly due to some labeling issue (I heard some manager mention sulfites), possible due to supply issues, this was off the shelves at Trader Joe’s for a long long time. I mean over a year! Seems they’ve solved whatever the issue was because its back on the shelf. And the label on the back has only two things on it, ginger and sugar. Pretty natural product.
So I can finally get my fix for this (very) spicy adult candy. (Now should I buy a case?)

Now, if Trader’s would only bring back (my forever favorite) ginger Jo Joe’s sandwich cookies. They were soooooooooo good, but I haven’t seen them on the shelves for years! 😦

“Trader Joe’s has also been named in a lawsuit — along with Target, Whole Foods and others — accusing it of selling candy with high levels of toxic lead. The lawsuit was filed by California Attorney General Kamala Harris’ office in Superior Court in San Francisco, the Times said.
The product connecting Trader Joe’s to the issue is Uncrystallized Candied Ginger, the Times said.”
Should I be worried? I’ve been purchasing and consuming these treats for a while now…

Wow, this is really shocking. I’ve also consumed bags and bags of these treats over the last few years.
