Bench & Field Holistic Natural Cat Treats
I can tell you I buy these treats for my two cats regularly. I have to have them in the house at all times. Both my two cats go bonkers for them.
The photo with the crazed Siamese cat who is acting as my “guest reviewer” is my Siamese cat, ‘Aspen’, in the middle of a taste teste. I think you can you tell they get his 100% seal of approval. It was impossible for me to get a clear photo, as he kept tugging my hand holding the treat with his massive (polydactyl) paws.
These treats are sold under their own brandname, “Bench & Field” a natural pet food company who’ve been in business quite some time. They are labeled “HOLISTIC NATURAL FELINE TREATS with Added Vitamins and Minerals.”
They’re shaped like a little fish, and fish (anchovy and sardine) is the first ingredient, with a bunch of other natural ingredients. Chewy.com sells them for $6 a jar. TJ’s sells them for half of that, $3 a jar! TradeJoe’s makes cash deals with vendors to lock in a good price. I’m pretty sure your cats will enjoy these treats, especially if they like fishy things like sardines and tuna. My cats are crazy about these treats.
More info can be found at Bench and Field’s own site: https://www.benchandfield.com/product/holistic-natural-feline-treats-subscription/

I care for a feral colony that has had some cruelty directed at them. I bought these treats on a whim and they absolutely love them. They are so excited to get them. Please keep carrying them.

I also recently tried on my cats some dried beef liver strips (for dogs of course) that Trader Joe’s carries. My cats love these. Just break it into small cat size pieces.
Blessings on you for taking care of the feral cats!

Well, TJ’s has ruined my life! You have stopped carrying Bench & Fields Cat Treats and my cats have stopped speaking to me! Please bring these cat treats back! I can’t stand to see my cats cry! Oh, and they buried these new treats that you have. They don’t like them at all.

Really? Our TJ’s (NYC) hasn’t stopped carrying them. Maybe just out of stock in your TJ? Ask the Store Captain for status.

They’ve brought in some other cat treats with their own label. I don’t think they’ve just run out of the good Bench & Field treats. I advise you to buy a whole lot of them because your TJ’s will probably not have them for too much longer.

My cats are going crazy without these treats. Bench and Field are the only ones they like! Morning and night they would get them. Now they just stare and meow at us.

Yup, mine too! I saw the treats in my TJ and bought 2 “just in case” as someone reported them MIA. Now there are none in my TJ too. Should have bought a dozen while I could. The cats do love them if they are “fishy” kitties. I will have to dole them out while they last!

Well I am praying that they are just back ordered and not discontinued at Trader Joes. I would always buy them by the case! I never understand why an item is eliminated when it is obvious people love it! I tried the “Trader Joes” treats and my two cats aren’t buying it! They have started carrying the Bench and Field Cat food and that has saved me a little. I have tried to buy it from other places and I don’t really understand pricing. Maybe someone can help me out here. Why is it $2.99 at Trader Joes but if I want to buy it from the Bench and Field Website its $17!!! Buying from Amazon is even worse. Well I am hoping that it’s just some production issues.

Both Trader Joe’s in my area are not currently carrying these and our cats are about ready to stage a revolt. At first I was told that were just backordered. Now I’m being told it’s a pricing battle. Like others have commented I tried the Trader Joe’s brand they’re selling as a replacement and neither of the cats will have anything to do with them. Seeing what they cost on the Bench & Field website and Amazon I can see the issue. I hope they can get this worked out because our budget wouldn’t take kindly to paying $24.00 for two 3oz bottles of these.

the cat treat company web site says that they are working on increasing their production of these treats, but there is a huge backlog of orders…and Covid has decreased their staffing. it might be a while before we see these

In desperation…my cats had pretty much stopped speaking to me since they don’t have the Bench and Field cat treats…I tried some treats from the supermarket. Most of them were duds, but my cats literally went nuts for some treats called “Burst.” So, that’s what they get for treats from now on. But this stuff doesn’t have the vitamins that the Bench and Field treats have…but now TJs is carrying Bench and Field dry cat food and it does have the vitamins that the cats need. And my cats love it! They love it just as much as the B&F treats. So, I’m covered and my cats are happy again. “Burst” cat treats and Bench and Field cat food makes for a peaceful household!

Glad to see I’m not the only cat person here who’s missing the Bench & Field treats! I held my nose and bought the Trader Joe’s potato-flour treats as a stopgap measure. Only one of my two cats finds them acceptable, while the other looks on with doleful eyes and wonders why I’m not working right. Thankful for the Bench & Field update on their home page and look forward to seeing these treats back in stores!

My Molly only has about five fishes left until she kills me in the middle of the night. Help! In Eugene.

I mixed some TJ Treats in the remaining Bench and Field so they might absorb some of the smell, and trick them into liking them more. Don’t judge me.
